VBCam support

A little help
before game day.

A little preparation. More time for the game.

Prelaunch help center.

VBCam is not yet available on the App Store. For help now or during launch, email support@vbcamapp.com. These guides describe the release experience.

Your first game

  1. Choose who you’re filming. Athlete Game captures a player’s match moments and highlight reels. Athlete Practice keeps drills, flagged reps and notes together for review and individual clip sharing. Team mode is for recording and broadcasting a match with scoring.
  2. Prepare the device. Allow camera and microphone access, check battery and available storage, and frame the court before recording.
  3. Mark the moments. Tap Save play while filming in Athlete Game, or Flag rep in Athlete Practice. Replay lets you pause filming, watch the last 15 or 30 seconds, and save a moment or rep. You can also review and tag a recording afterward.
  4. Make something to share. Choose saved moments for a reel, adjust the edit and export. You can also share individual clips.

Common questions

Camera or microphone access is blocked

Open your device’s Settings, find VBCam, and review Camera and Microphone permissions. Return to the app after enabling access. If recording is unavailable, also check free storage and whether another app is using the camera.

I missed the Save play button

If the play is in the last 15 or 30 seconds, open Replay to watch it and tap Save moment. Replay pauses recording; tap Resume recording when you’re ready to film again. You can also open the game’s recording to review and tag an earlier play afterward. A saved moment marks a section of recorded video; it cannot recover action that was never recorded.

How does Replay work?

Choose the last 15 or 30 seconds. Playback loops automatically at normal or half speed. In Athlete Game, Save moment marks the point you’re watching; Add label is optional. In Athlete Practice, use Flag rep and optionally Add note. Adding a label or note pauses playback without resetting your position; press Play to continue. Undo removes a newly saved moment, while the original recording stays intact.

Does closing Replay resume recording?

No. Recording is paused during Replay. Resume recording starts filming again; closing Replay with X leaves recording paused. Action while filming is paused is not recorded.

Where did my saved thumbnails or practice history go?

Saved thumbnails and the practice history sidebar stay hidden while recording so more of the court remains visible. Your saved count and brief confirmation remain. Review your moments or practice history after filming.

My helper device won’t connect

Keep the devices nearby, check that local-network access is allowed for VBCam, and follow the pairing instructions on the recording device. A helper tags or scores for the host; it does not replace the recording device.

I want to go live on YouTube

Prepare your YouTube channel before game day, enable live streaming and follow YouTube’s current eligibility requirements. Activation may take up to 24 hours. Use Team mode to connect the channel and check the stream setup. Streaming needs a dependable internet connection. YouTube’s live-streaming guide ↗

Who can see an unlisted video?

Anyone with the link can generally watch and forward an unlisted YouTube video. Unlisted is not a password-protected team space. Check the channel’s visibility settings and your team’s filming and sharing permissions before broadcasting.

Does deleting a game remove it from YouTube?

No. Local recordings, Photos exports and YouTube videos are separate copies. Manage a YouTube copy through YouTube Studio, and a Photos copy through Photos. Check the app’s deletion confirmation before removing the local original.

How do the trial and subscriptions work?

The planned launch offer includes 14 days of full access, starting automatically, with no purchase commitment. The trial does not automatically charge you. A paid subscription requires an Apple purchase and then auto-renews unless canceled. Both modes and Family Sharing are included. Planned U.S. pricing is $39.99/year or $5.99/month.

How do I manage an Apple subscription?

Use Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your Apple device. Apple handles subscription payments and eligible refunds. Restore purchases in the app using the Apple Account associated with your purchase. Apple’s cancellation instructions ↗
