VBCam terms of use
Before you
press record.
Using VBCam, looking after your recordings and choosing what you share.
Effective October 19, 2026.
About these terms
VBCam is provided by Greg Smith. These terms cover the VBCam iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch apps and this website. By using VBCam, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use VBCam.
The app is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. That agreement governs your app licence, including its licence restrictions, warranties, liability and termination provisions. This page explains the additional conditions for using VBCam’s features and website. It does not replace the Standard EULA or limit rights that applicable law gives you.
Permission to record and share
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to record, import, edit and share your content. Follow applicable laws, venue rules, team policies and competition or broadcast restrictions. Take particular care with children’s images, names and other personal information. Parents, guardians and other responsible adults should manage filming and publishing involving children.
Do not use VBCam to infringe someone’s copyright or privacy, harass others, or publish unlawful content. Only add music, photos, footage and graphics that you are entitled to use for your chosen destination. Having a recording or music file does not necessarily give you permission to publish it.
Your content and backups
You keep the rights you have in your footage, photos and other content. Using VBCam does not transfer ownership of that content to Greg Smith. Sharing with another service is also subject to that service’s terms.
Your VBCam library is stored on your devices. VBCam does not provide a developer-hosted backup of your footage. Keep separate copies of recordings you want to preserve, and check that an export is complete and plays correctly before deleting an original. Deleting a local recording does not delete copies in Photos, backups, shared files or YouTube.
Google and YouTube features
VBCam uses YouTube API Services for optional broadcasts and replay uploads. By using VBCam’s YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Your Google account and YouTube channel must meet Google’s and YouTube’s current age, permission and feature-eligibility requirements. Connect only a channel you are authorized to manage.
Check the destination channel, title, visibility, audience designation and upload settings before publishing. Unlisted videos can be watched and forwarded by anyone with the link. Full replay upload is off by default: if you enable it, after a Team game that you streamed and recorded, VBCam can queue the full recording for a separate YouTube upload over Wi-Fi. To enable it before filming, turn on Full replays in YouTube channel settings or Post the full recording after the game in Recording settings. Your saved choice applies to future games until you change it.
Google and YouTube control their services, channel eligibility, content decisions and API availability. A VBCam subscription does not guarantee access to a YouTube feature or uninterrupted streaming. Network conditions, device resources and third-party services can affect recording, processing, streaming and uploads.
You can disconnect YouTube in VBCam and revoke access through Google Account connections. Disconnecting signs out the local session; it does not itself revoke Google’s permission grant, delete published videos or remove every saved game’s historical channel reference. Manage published videos in YouTube Studio. Our privacy policy explains Google data access, storage and deletion, and links to the Google Privacy Policy.
Evaluation and subscriptions
The launch offer includes 14 days of full access that start automatically, with no purchase commitment or automatic charge at the end. Continuing with a paid plan requires you to approve a purchase through Apple. The price, billing period and applicable purchase conditions are shown before you confirm.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple Account. You can manage or cancel them in device Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting VBCam does not cancel a subscription. Apple processes payments and refund requests under its terms; any rights you have under applicable law remain in place.
Privacy and connected services
Read the VBCam privacy policy before using connected features. It explains local media, device permissions, nearby helpers, Apple Watch, purchases, support and the information sent to Google, YouTube and other services. Services you choose to use apply their own terms and privacy policies.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as VBCam changes. We will publish an updated effective date here and provide additional notice or request agreement where required. Changes do not remove rights that applicable law gives you.
